Twenty years ago Britain was faced with a situation that would not only test the resolve of the Government but would test the British Military to it's limits.

The Iron Lady was not going to roll over and play dead when Argentina decided to rattle her Cage. She set her stall up early on and woe betide anyone who got in her way. Certainly at the time there was plenty of opposition to the talks of placing Britain on a War footing. One of the main questions was whether Britain could raise such an expeditionary force and did it have the Logistics to fight a lengthy War 8000 miles across the other side of the War.

As they say the rest is history.

This site is about a particular episode to the Falklands War and looks into the recapture of South Georgia and South Thule by "M" Company Group.

Not everything went according to plan and mistakes were made.
